As we begin a new year, we once again start to search for ways to be healthy. That doesn’t mean you have to put down those glasses. Giving your favorite drinks a makeover can be a great way to cut the calories, but still enjoy cocktail hour!
Here are some recipe ideas.
In a highball glass, stir 2 oz. of General Diaz Blanco Tequila, 1 oz. grapefruit juice, and ½ oz. agave nectar. Stir, and top with a splash of club soda. Garnish with fresh grapefruit and mint leaves.
In a shaker, combine 2 oz. of Grays Peak Vodka, ¾ oz. fresh lime juice, ¾ oz. simple syrup, and 2 dashes Mexican hot sauce. Pour into a glass with a salted rim and filled with ice. Garnish with cucumber dimes.
In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine 2 oz. Redemption Bourbon bourbon, ⅓ oz. lime juice, and ½ oz. simple syrup. Strain into a glass filled with ice, and garnish with basil leaves.
Add 6 mint leaves, ¼ of a lime, 1 ½ oz Cutwater Gin and 1 Tbsp sugar (optional) to a shaker and muddle. Add 4 cucumber slices to shaker and shake vigorously. Pour mixture over glass filled with ice and top with tonic water.
